Fence cutting

FENCE CUTTING (OR THEFT OF FENCING)

Fence cutting is often a prelude to a break-in or property intrusion but in some instances it is not know what the perpetrator's intention was. It is categorised separately because it has become prevalent in our area. Where a fence is cut and a building or structure or broken into, the incident should be recorded as a break-in or attempted break-in and the cutting of the fence noted in the "notes" section of the Incident Report.

In some instances the object is the theft of the fence or part thereof which is the object of the crime.
